The 2012 JNI Set held its latest meeting, overseen by the PRO, Mr. Kawiyu Musa, and opened with prayers led by the Chief Imam, Saliman Rasheed. The gathering addressed crucial matters, including annual dues, ongoing projects, and future initiatives.

President’s Remarks
President Lamidi Sheriffdeen welcomed members and expressed gratitude for their continued engagement. He encouraged active participation and adherence to the association’s guidelines, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration.

Financial Updates
The PRO reported that 25 out of 45 members had successfully paid their annual dues, with a total of ₦67,100 collected. He acknowledged the efforts of those who paid and urged others to settle their dues promptly. Secretary Salau Raheem reminded members that unpaid dues from this year might be carried forward to next year’s bills, encouraging timely payments to avoid additional burdens.

A detailed breakdown of payments was shared during the meeting, and members expressed satisfaction with the transparency:

  • Highest Payment: Mr. Qodri Sikiru - ₦10,000
  • Total Collected: ₦67,100

Community Engagement and Projects
Key discussions included the following:

  • Prayer Coordination: Mr. Wasiu suggested that those at home, including Mrs. Kemi, ensure members are informed about ongoing prayers.
  • Future Gatherings: The President proposed using JNI premises for the next meeting, including prayers and refreshments to commemorate the association’s progress.
  • School Donation: Mr. Ahmed Shittu proposed donating a wall clock to a local school.
  • Banner Decision: Members agreed to suspend plans for a banner until further notice.

Resolutions
Members unanimously supported the President’s initiatives, with Mr. Yemi emphasizing the need for feedback from executives on recent projects and meetings.

The meeting concluded with prayers, reflecting the association’s commitment to unity and progress.
