CONSTITUTION OF JNI2012 SET STUDENTS ASSOCIATION




PREAMBLE

We, the members of the JNI 2012 Set Students Association, in recognition of our shared history, commitment to unity, and dedication to progress, hereby establish this constitution to govern our operations, ensure financial transparency, and promote the welfare of our members.

ARTICLE 1:NAME AND PURPOSE

1.1   The name of the association shall be JNI 2012 Set Students Association (hereinafter referred to as "the Association").

1.2 The objectives of the Association shall be:

a) To foster unity and cooperation among members.

b) To support educational and professional development through workshops, networking events, and other initiatives.

c) To manage funds for the benefit of the Association and its members.

d) To ensure adherence to platform rules and ethics.

ARTICLE 2:MEMBERSHIP

2.1 Membership is open to all former students of JNI 2012 Set.

2.2 Members must abide by the Association's rules and regulations.

2.3  Members must pay annual dues as determined by the Executive Council.

ARTICLE 3:EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

3.1 The Association shall be governed by an Executive Council consisting of the following officers:

·  Chairman

●PRO

● Treasurer/Chair lady

·  Secretary

·  Event Manager

·  Community Service Coordinator

●  Imam

·Director of Members Welfare/Wellness

·  Entertainment Officer

● Vice Event Manager


3.2 Duties of the officers

·Chairman shall preside over meetings, represent the Association, and oversee all activities.

·PRO shall handle publicity and information dissemination.

·Treasurer/Chairlady shall manage the Association's funds, keep financial records, and report on the financial status of the Association.

·Secretary shall keep records of meetings; maintain communication among members, and sign official documents.

·Event Manager shall coordinate and oversee Association events.

·  Community Service Coordinator shall oversee community outreach projects and service

initiatives.

·  Imam shall provide spiritual guidance and lead prayers when necessary.

·Director of Members Welfare/Wellness shall ensure members'well-being and engagement in the Association.

·  Entertainment Officer shall organize recreational and entertainment activities.

·  Vice Event Manager shall assist the Event Manager and act in their absence.

ARTICLE 4:FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

4.1   The Association shall open and maintain a bank account in its official name.

4.2   The account shall be operated with at least two signatories, namely the Chairman and the Secretary.

4.3 All financial transactions shall be documented, and financial statements shall be presented at meetings.

4.4    Annual dues and other contributions shall be used solely for projects, administrative expenses, and member support.

ARTICLE 5:MEETINGS

5.1   The Association shall hold periodic meetings to discuss matters concerning members and operations.

5.2 Emergency meetings may be called when necessary by the Chairman or at the request of at least five members.

5.3 Decisions shall be made through majority votes by attending members.

ARTICLE 6:CODE OF CONDUCT

6.1 Members shall maintain respectful interactions and avoid the use of vulgar language,sexual content, or any form of misconduct.

6.2 Members who fail to adhere to these rules may face penalties,including temporary suspension or permanent removal from the platform.

ARTICLE 7: AMENDMENTS

7.1   This constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of members present at a general meeting.

7.2   Proposed amendments must be submitted in writing to the Secretary at least two weeks before a scheduled meeting

ARTICLE 8: DISSOLUTION

8.1 The Association may only be dissolved by a unanimous decision of the Executive Council and a majority vote of members.

8.2  In the event of dissolution, any remaining funds shall be donated to an agreed charitable cause or educational initiative.

Today, JNI announced the launch of its official Meeting Blog, a new platform developed by Salau Raheem to enhance transparency and keep members informed on all recent and ongoing activities. The blog, structured as a news-style website, will serve as a central repository where detailed reports and summaries of JNI meetings will be posted immediately after each session. The new blog is designed to make meeting minutes easily accessible and user-friendly. Members can now navigate through reports by category, date, or key topics, ensuring quick access to specific information. Each report is presented in a news article format, detailing essential points of discussion, decisions made, and action items from each meeting. The goal is to create a space where our members can easily follow and review what has been discussed, promoting transparency and allowing everyone to stay engaged," said Raheem. JNI Committee Holds Second meeting Today

The JNI 2012 Reconnect committees holds their Second meeting on the 10th November,2024. The general meeting was held on Whatsapp group to foster engagement among members and encourage payment of annual dues. The session began with an opening prayer led by Abdulrasheed Saliman. During the meeting, members present took the opportunity to greet one another, strengthen connections, and emphasize the importance of supporting each other. The PRO addressed the matter of annual dues, highlighting the importance of timely payments and noting that some members had already fulfilled their commitments. Members were encouraged to make their payments promptly to support group activities. The PRO also mentioned the presence of new members and encouraged everyone to welcome and support them. Finally, Abdulrasheed Olayemi reminded members to check in on each other regularly to maintain the unity and well-being of the group.
