**JNI General Group Meeting Minutes**

**Date:** Saturday, May 4, 2025

**Time:** 8:30 PM

**Venue:** Online (Group Chat)

**1. Opening Prayer:**

The meeting began at 8:42 PM with an opening prayer by the Chief Imam, who prayed for the continuity and success of the group and its constitution.


**2. President’s Opening Remarks:**

The President welcomed all members and acknowledged the previous delays due to network challenges. He expressed the hope that the group could now address any pending issues effectively.


**3. Constitution Review:**

The Secretary confirmed that no amendments had yet been made to the constitution. He also released the full version to the group for review. The President proposed that the group adopt the current version of the constitution and consider future amendments only when necessary, to avoid wasting time.


Mr. Lateef (Stainless) requested the PDF version of the constitution, which was sent to the platform by the Secretary.


**4. Business Proposal Discussions:**

The President advised that the group should focus for now on supporting members and checking on their welfare, due to limited funds. He cautioned against rushing into business ventures without adequate preparation.


He asked the General Secretary to list earlier project ideas, which include:


* Skill acquisition and enlightenment programs

* Buying and reselling farm products

* Starting a business to employ vulnerable members (e.g., a unisex salon)

* Crop and livestock farming

* Transportation business


Mr. Usman Lateef suggested the group consider buying and reselling red oil, which he believed could yield profit. This idea was supported by Raheem and Lateef (Stainless).


**5. Engagement and Communication:**

The PRO noted efforts to contact inactive members. Though many had promised to join the meeting, their absence was still observed. He assured the group that he would follow up and report back.


**6. Adjournment:**

With no further matters raised, the Secretary, Raheem, adjourned the meeting at 10:32 PM. The members were appreciated for their active participation. The date for the next meeting will be announced later.

JNI LAUNCHES OFFICIAL MEETING BLOG FOR TRANSPARENT REPORTING

Today, JNI announced the launch of its official Meeting Blog, a new platform developed by Salau Raheem to enhance transparency and keep members informed on all recent and ongoing activities. The blog, structured as a news-style website, will serve as a central repository where detailed reports and summaries of JNI meetings will be posted immediately after each session. The new blog is designed to make meeting minutes easily accessible and user-friendly. Members can now navigate through reports by category, date, or key topics, ensuring quick access to specific information. Each report is presented in a news article format, detailing essential points of discussion, decisions made, and action items from each meeting. JNI Committee Holds Second meeting Today

The JNI 2012 Reconnect committees holds their Second meeting on the 10th November,2024. The general meeting was held on Whatsapp group to foster engagement among members and encourage payment of annual dues. The session began with an opening prayer led by Abdulrasheed Saliman. During the meeting, members present took the opportunity to greet one another, strengthen connections, and emphasize the importance of supporting each other. The PRO addressed the matter of annual dues, highlighting the importance of timely payments and noting that some members had already fulfilled their commitments. Members were encouraged to make their payments promptly to support group activities. The PRO also mentioned the presence of new members and encouraged everyone to welcome and support them. Finally, Abdulrasheed Olayemi reminded members to check in on each other regularly to maintain the unity and well-being of the group.
