 📰 JNI HOLDS STRATEGIC MEETING ON PLATFORM PROGRESS AND ACCOUNT OPENING

The JNI held its scheduled meeting on Sunday, 29th June 2025 via WhatsApp, with active participation from members across various locations. The session opened with a heartfelt prayer by Abdullahzeez Tairu, setting a reflective tone for the discussions.

In his welcome address, the President appreciated the commitment of members and encouraged everyone to actively contribute ideas regarding the development of the platform. He addressed two pressing matters—annual dues payment and the challenges around opening an official account for the group.

💼 Financial and Banking Updates

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) gave a detailed financial report on the contributions received so far, presenting a transparent overview of the group’s finances.

The Admin shared progress on attempts to open a bank account for JNI, noting that the Moniepoint platform had been explored. However, the President raised concerns about the high transaction costs associated with POS-based platforms like Moniepoint. Drawing from personal experience, he suggested a Union Bank current account as a more practical and cost-effective option.

It was also proposed that the group engage other members from Ife-Olukotun to broaden participation and strengthen the network.

🗣️ Member Contributions

During the interactive session, Abass, Mr. Salami Raimi, and Salau Raheem suggested that a salary or allowance be considered for whoever is responsible for handling the group's financial matters, to ensure accountability and encourage dedication.

The PRO backed the Union Bank option and reminded all members of the importance of paying their annual dues. He emphasized that such contributions were essential for sustaining group activities and projects.

Additionally, the Secretary, Salau Raheem, was assigned to reach out to former members who had exited the group, to check on their well-being and encourage their reintegration.

✅ Conclusion and Resolutions

The meeting concluded with three key resolutions:

  • The group will proceed with opening a Union Bank current account.

  • All members are urged to pay their annual dues promptly.

  • The Secretary will contact inactive members for follow-up and possible re-engagement.

Today, JNI announced the launch of its official Meeting Blog, a new platform developed by Salau Raheem to enhance transparency and keep members informed on all recent and ongoing activities. The blog, structured as a news-style website, will serve as a central repository where detailed reports and summaries of JNI meetings will be posted immediately after each session. The new blog is designed to make meeting minutes easily accessible and user-friendly. Members can now navigate through reports by category, date, or key topics, ensuring quick access to specific information. Each report is presented in a news article format, detailing essential points of discussion, decisions made, and action items from each meeting. JNI Committee Holds Second meeting Today

The JNI 2012 Reconnect committees holds their Second meeting on the 10th November,2024. The general meeting was held on Whatsapp group to foster engagement among members and encourage payment of annual dues. The session began with an opening prayer led by Abdulrasheed Saliman. During the meeting, members present took the opportunity to greet one another, strengthen connections, and emphasize the importance of supporting each other. The PRO addressed the matter of annual dues, highlighting the importance of timely payments and noting that some members had already fulfilled their commitments. Members were encouraged to make their payments promptly to support group activities. The PRO also mentioned the presence of new members and encouraged everyone to welcome and support them.
